Nema 34 Stepper Motor
A NEMA 34 stepper motor uses the standard 3.4-inch (86 mm) square faceplate. That number tells you how it mounts—electrical specs depend on the specific model. Inside, there's room for bigger rotor and stator stacks, which can support higher torque depending on the design.
You'll find these in CNC routers, milling machines, large-format 3D printers, industrial automation, motion stages, and direct-drive rotary axes. A common step angle is 1.8°, but microstepping comes from the driver.
What to check when picking one neme 34 motor: holding torque (some models are 10–20 Nm depending on stack length), rated current, step angle, shaft diameter and type, motor body length, and wiring (4- or 8-lead). Match the numbers to your driver and power supply, and let the datasheet be the final check.
